Happy 5th Birthday Katie!

This morning we all slept in until almost 8am! How nice was that?! Of course, the first thing Katie wanted to do was open her birthday presents. So that's what we did. Why not? Of course, I took video and I'll upload that later today, hopefully. For lunch, we had cheese pizza, per Katie's request and after that we enjoyed chocolate birthday cake with pink icing. Pink, because that is Katie's most favorite color in the whole wide world.

It's a beautiful, wintery day to celebrate a birthday, I must say. It's been snowing all day and I'm certain we'll end up outside playing in the snow eventually. The last two nights we've taken walks around the neighborhood, enjoying the lights and playing in the snow. Well, Regina and I walked, anyway. Katie rode on a sled pulled along behind Regina. She (Katie) thought that was pretty great.
