Katie and I were reading one of her new books the other night entitled "Hello Hokie Bird" (yes, it is about Virginia Tech - thanks Shirley family!) and on one page I started to sing the "Hokie Pokie" song. I guess Katie had never heard of the song (or at least that she remembered) and she sat listening to me without moving. When I was done, she said, please sing the hokie song again. We sang it all night!
It is no longer called Hokie Pokie - it is the Hokie Song!
